  • I know I have been quiet but I still think about you

    z226696494

Hey everyone sorry it’s been a while I have been really bad about updating lately. I haven’t done my blogs or tumblr and my facebook is just sitting there collecting virtual dust. I’ve been really busy working on projects and doing a little reflecting on life and things. Thank you for understanding. I do see your emails and text messages and I appreciate all your well wishes and concerns. I promise I will get back to each and every one of them but it’s going to take me some time. Thank you so much for being patient with me. I don’t know what I would do without you all. I miss you guys and I love hearing all the stories about what you have been up to and what your new plans are. I’m happy that your happy. Are you all getting excited for Christmas? It’s coming up quick. I hope you all have happy and safe holidays.

    All my love,

  • Family Christmas party

    z226696493

Tonight is the family Christmas party. We have to do it early because if we don't we'll never get to open presents and spend time together. I'm really happy that I get to see them but I won't lie I'm a little bummed that I will be in a hotel again this year on the actual day.

Lex drew the short straw so she had to host the family christmas party at her place this year. I felt a little bad for her because she had to do the halloween party too. I missed it because I was in Thailand but the pictures looked like she put a lot of effort into it. She loves to decorate so the mantle was done up really cute and they had the tree out. She even made Roxy a special holiday collar. That is a new thing we've started doing. She dresses the dog which I think is nerdy but she also makes her all these custom collars to match holidays and stuff. I like doing that part. Usually we draw names as siblings for christmas but this year we added the boys into the mix so it made things more interesting because we had to buy gifts for these people that are new-ish to the family. I got Nick (Lexa's boyfriend) so I was trying really hard to think of something he would like but I wasn't able to get what I wanted in time  I had to give him a gift card. I hope he wasn't too bummed out about it. Lex had my name. Lucky girl! We have been drawing each other's names for the last ten years or more so she has it way easy. She didn't have time to go shopping either so we are doing "christmas after christmas" which also pretty typical for us  She suprised me by getting me a giant inflatable dog from Victoria Secret. She always gets me the weirdest things but I like it.

The party was fun. I won't get into it too much on here because it's probably not that interesting you any of you anyway. There was one funny part though. Nick had drawn Jenna's name so he bought her these massaging slippers and a bra (obviously Lexa had thrown in the bra part). Jenna had the bra and slippers on her lap and Nick walked up to her, pointed to her gift and said "Are those double a's?" He was reffering to the slippers and what batteries they took but since he pointed in the general direction as the bra and Jenna's chest it looked like he was asking about something else. My grandma just started cracking up. He got a little flustered after that but it was funny.

Pictures from my Christmas photo shoot should be coming soon.

  • The Antler Motel

    kemmerer

I had a promo this morning that I really feel like I was kind of tricked into doing. It was originally supposed to be in Salt Lake from 9am-5pm but somehow that turned into Kemmerer Wyoming from 6am-2pm. I had to leave in the middle of the night and drive by myself through the creepy fog to get to this promo. I stopped for breakfast at the antler motel (interesting place for sure) and then on to the promo site. The company I was working for is a big, very well-known brand so I was suprised at how badly everyone was treated. They wouldn't let us wear our own coats but they had hired 8 models and only had 4 coats so we had to trade off with them. It was rainy and freezing and a bunch of us got sick because of it. I'm just glad I was a promo model and not a pa! The pa's had to wash cars and the only gear they were given was waist high ski bibs and elbow length rubber gloves. They were soaking wet and freezing the entire time. I won't be surprised if they all end up with pnemonia. I felt so bad for them. The whole thing was a ridiculous waste of time and I am definitely adding that company to my black list. By the time I got home from there I was exhausted but had to go to my other job so I couldn't sleep yet. I got a lot of work done though so I was pretty happy about that  Hopefully I get some time to sleep over the holidays. Hope you guys are having an awesome day!

  • "Was it everything you thought it would be?"

    brandon20bradley20-20broken_dreams

That's what she asked me. I was so scared to go after it. I wondered, 'what if I went after the thing and then when I got there I realized it wasn't enough. What then?' It doesn't get much bigger than that... if it does I surely can't imagine what. I did do it and in the end she asked me if it was everything I thought it would be. The answer is, unfortunately it was everything I thought it would be.

  • Disgusting Thanksgiving dream

    dream

I dreamed that while my whole family was having Thanksgiving dinner I was in my room and my eye fell out. I caught it in my hand and I wasn’t sure what to do. It hurt a lot but it wasn’t bleeding or anything. A few different family members came to tell me it was time to eat and try to get me to come to dinner but I locked them out. I texted my mom and told her to come to my room. She kept saying I needed to go to the hospital but I said no because I couldn’t afford it. I just kept asking her to bring me food so I wouldn’t miss out. She tried to get me to go eat with the family but I wouldn’t because there were kids there and I didn’t want to scare them with my empty eye socket. Then I woke up.

    Gross huh?

  • First stop Singapore...

    IMG_20121025_0355252

    Not the best :P

Rick took me to the airport since Jordan had school. The poor guy gets stuck with me all the time. I wonder how sick he is of driving to the airport to pick me up or drop me off :P

It was cute because I am chip obsessed and I had some in my bag to take with me but I ate some at home and they were too spicy. I didn’t have time to pack my bag so Brooke packed for me and she put the chips in there. When I got to Rick and Jordan’s she confiscated half my luggage and I gave my chips to her and Rick since I was trying to get rid of stuff I couldn’t use and they were too spicy. Well I was rushing to get to my plane and to text my family goodbye and everything and I get this picture message from Rick. He had a picture of a note from Brooke. For a minute I was really confused because they have never met and I had no idea how Rick would have gotten a note from my sister. Then he told me she had put it in my chips haha She knows me so well! Normally that would have worked. It was cute of her to write me that and it was cute of him to send it to me. It made my day.

I made it on my plane just in the nic of time. I ended up sitting next to a guy that ate a bunch of curry and spent the next 11 hours farting up a storm almost killing us all. I was praying for the oxygen masks to drop but no luck. We made it to Tokyo late so we just did a quick pass through. I have no idea if I like it or not from just that. Singapore was amazing!!! They have live butterflies and waterfalls and like 7 shopping malls all packed into the airport. I had a long layover there so I went to the rooftop gardens and watched the sun come up, fed the fish at the koi pond, took a tour out of the airport on this little bus thing, went to see the pool (didn’t swim though), played video games in the gaming center and watched movies in the movie theatre. If you ever have a long layover try to take it in Singapore.

After Singapore I went to Bangkok which was uneventful (they did give me cookie dough ice cream on the plane) and then on to Koh Samui. You get off the plane and your right on the tarmac. The airport itself is tiny and doesn’t even have walls or anything.  There was a little confusion trying to find a cab and everything but I got it figured out. I beat my roommate (who I had never met before) to the hotel so they gave me a drink and tour and then took me to the room where I started to unpack. I was there for about an hour before my roommate finally got there and introduced himself. That’s about the time we realized that the wall between the bathroom shower and the bedroom was made of glass. Not awkward at all right?! Lol Pretty much everyone on Koh Samui rides around on motor bikes and there are dogs everywhere. Water buffalo just wander around in the jungle. The taxi drivers are nuts!! We both were pretty tired from all the traveling so we just unpacked and then went down to the pool and had a few mango margaritas. I had a delicious frozen mango something or other. It got dark really early so we went for a walk on the beach and some dogs chased us down barking at us so we turned around and went back only to run into more dogs! These 2 were nice though. There was one that was black with a white patch on his chest and one that was white with tan spots. The little spotted one walked right up to me and followed me around the entire time so I decided while I was in Thailand these were going to be my dogs. We went for a little bike ride just to check things out and then came back to the resort and had dinner. I didn’t know what anything was so I just ordered randomly and ended up getting chicken and mozzarella. They basically had grilled chicken breast on a giant lump of mozzarella cheese. It was good mixed but I didn’t want to eat that giant lump of cheese plain so I snuck it into a napkin and when we were done with dinner we walked back down to the beach and I fed it to my dogs. There was only a little so I think they were ok.

  • I got to see Sarah again!!! :D

    sarah_peachez_wp0074hsm_zeusbox_c122011-1920x1200

I know I just got home from LA but it’s time to go back. Everyone is trying to get me to move there but I don’t think I could do it. I could live there part time but I couldn’t stand to be tied down forever in California. As much as I love the sun and the ocean I just can’t get on track with the vibe there. It’s so hard to explain. Anyway, that doesn’t matter. I got in really late and thankfully Rick was able to come get me. I just wanted to give him the biggest hug for picking me up and for being brave enough to get my massive luggage into the car for me!  We got back kinda late so everyone pretty much just slept. I got mushed so I was happy <3

I had a bunch of stuff to get done in the morning so me and Rick decided to meet Jordan for lunch after she got off school. Sarah wanted me to come see her new place so we decided to have lunch out by her. I was so excited to see her again! I haven’t seen her in years. We went to this little Mexican place where they lit our drinks on fire  Then we went back to Sarah’s and watched her Brian Mcknight adult video and talked. The fun didn’t start until the boys left. We went and got more alcohol and had some more drinks and got into the hot tub. We were having a lot of fun til a stupid neighbor cop yelled at us for being too lound. It was 8pm!  If it was later I would understand but it was 8. So dumb! So anyway, we went inside so that loser could get some sleep with all the rest of the geriatrics in the area. A lot of things happened that night and I’m not going to get into all of it because some stories are just to crazy to tell on a blog.  I’ll say it was definitely a fun but interesting night. I’m glad I got to see Sarah and spend that time with her and Jordan.

  • Guest Blog: Mikey/Choosing the right divorce partner.

    divorce

A lot of women say that they are very selective in their choice of men. They look around very carefully. And when they find the one they think can give them the worst possible time, that's when they move in for the kill.

If you really want to get to know what a guy is about, look at his friends. A lot of women will try to judge a guy by the women he has dated in the past, and that is a bad idea!!! It is an even worse idea to compare yourself to that legacy mainly because we dont always have a choice in who we love, the best part of love is irrational, and that can lead to bad decisions (as we all know). On the other hand, we do choose our friends and, very often, we choose them because of how they make us feel when we are with them. This simple notion can shed light on the strengths and weaknesses of any human. Some other things to focus on when judging a man is to observe his behavior with flat tires, children, and the kitchen sink.

O' and lets not forget what he has recorded on his TIVO.

    Love you all,

    -Mike-

  • The most interesting man: Dos Equis & Tough Mudder

    579031_4760972343684_1828491004_n

I never get nervous before events but for some reason I kept having anxiety attacks leading up to this one. I knew that logically there was nothing to be worried about. I have done a million events just like this before and I am great at my job and I love what I do so there was nothing in the world to be worried about. For some reason I still was though. When the day of the event finally came I met up with the other models Apryl and Angelic. We decided we were going to be the A team  Angelic sat in back and popped in her ear buds so we didn't talk much at first but me and Apryl quickly became friends after we discovered ow many mutual friends and photographers we had in common.

At the event it was freezing but thankfully they gave us warm uniforms. We felt like some spy girls from Tibet that wanted to kick some booty. I forgot my sunglasses or it would have been perfect. They gave us these really warm furry hats and mine was too big so the other girls looked bad a** and I had more of the dangerous kitten look going on  Our boss Mike was really laid back and the Dos Equis vip tent was nice. The caterers liked me so they made sure I was fed really well all day. It makes you feel a little bad looking out the door of the heated vip tent, eating good food and watching all the tought mudder kids getting electrocuted and dropped into freezing cold water.

These people are nuts! They pay $300 to run through the mud, crawl through rocks, get soaked, and get electro shocked and get nothing but a t-shirt and a beer at the end. I made some video of them on my phone. We were right at the end by the elctro wires so you can watch them come through. Videos are on my youtube

  • More Andi, less politics

    obama-romney%20x-large

With the election coming up it seems like everyone wants to talk politics. It's Romney this and Obama that. I'm sick of hearing about both of them to be honest. To the girl that says she's voting for Romney because he's hot: 1-What the hell? and 2- no he's not and 3- that's a stupid reason to vote for someone anyway. JFK was probably the hottest president we ever had and look how that turned out....

I have come across a lot of people that think Obama is the right guy and a lot that like Romney. Personally I like neither. Is there another option? Like, "let's pick the secret candidate behind door three". I would vote for that. I have been following the debates closely and I have heard what each candidate has to say. Even though I feel like I'm not getting the ideal president I am still going to vote. I really think that whichever wins this is what will happen. Guy will become president. Some natural disaster or terrorist attack (or both) is going to happen and people will demand something be done about it so eventually it will be decided to bring in the military to protect us and then slowly they will start to take over. We will end up losing more and more of our rights and the military will be there to enforce it. There will also be massive inflation and the job problem will persist. Interntment camps (sort of) will pop up and people will have to go there to get what they need and we will all be total slaves to it. That's what I think is going to happen anyway.

From now on when you talk to me you are going to get a little less politics and a lot more Andi.
