Met some bands at warped tour while I was doing the whole promo girl thing for Project X. One of the guys from Substance Abuse was pretty cool and we talked for quite a while. They stayed in town a few more days because they know Miles over at Copper Club and he had them perform. John had me go out there to see what I thought. Monster and the other guys were nice and they all put on a pretty good show. Afterwards we got talking about tagging and I was pretty excited to learn that they're into it. I'm going to meet up with them next time I'm in LA and John says he'll show me around. He's from Brentwood so he is going to show me the better side of it so I don't hate it anymore  Tonight was a pretty good night. I forgot how much I like hanging out with people I don't know.

I got sent to the wrong address this morning so I was late for work which always annoys me. I HATE being late to anything work related. The marketing company put the wrong address so all of us were late so at least it wasn't just me. When I got to the gate no one would let me in without a ticket even though I told them a million times I was working the event. He didn't even bother to check. It was one of those old dude douche bags on a power trip. When he wasn't looking I just walked in anyway. He was behind me yelling at me the whole time but I could really care less. Dude needs to learn how to do his job right.

My job basically consisted of hanging out with Will, doing pictures with him and the people that came by the booth, and bouncing around in the bounce house. Best job ever! I got really sunburned and got sick s I had to go to the first aid building for a little while. That part sucked but the rest was amazing. Music Saves lives was there so I went and did some pictures at the booth with Jared (the founder's son) and then went over to hang out with Chris and Jason from house of marley. I love their headphones so much! I'm hoping I see those two a lot more.

I met a bunch of bands that I have to go to lunch with and stuff to check out for the lounge. Divided by Friday, Mayday parade, hip hop substance abuse, and a bunch of others. The guys have all been really nice. I saw Anja and Haley there of course. They are part of the Untamed crew. They handle all our bands and music related events. I love seeing people I know at events and I love meeting a bunch of strangers and hearing their stories. I wish I wasn't getting old so fast because I want to do this forever!

Misty (one of the girls that models on my team) posted this pic the other day. She had been sick so she did Gua Sha or "coining" to let the wind/cold out and said she felt much better afterwards. I'm learning new things about Asian culture every day but I hadn't heard of Gua Sha before. It looked really painful and I was skeptical about whether it would work or not. I'm not sick but I had a really sore back from all the stunting and hiking and everything and I heard it would help for that as well so I gave it a try. Yes it hurts a little when they do the initial coin rubbing and it will leave scary looking marks but it relieves the pain and I feel great now..... I just have to figure out how to get rid of these marks before the event on Saturday!

Mom invited me to her wedding via text  I'm pretty sure she did it that way because she knew none of us like the guy. I literally have had my Chia Pet Charlie longer than this guy has been around and she expects me to just welcome him with open arms. There are a bunch of other reasons why I'm not on board with that. We all told her we need more time to get to know him better but instead of waiting she just forced this marriage on us and now we are all related whether we want to be or not and she wants to pretend we are one big happy family when we aren't. I'm so mad at her right now!

Anyway, she texted me the invite to this hellish event of hers and I wasn't sure if I was going to go. My sisters were all iffy about it too. I got a call for a job so I took it. When my manager there heard I was skipping mom's wedding to be there he laughed and said I'm a cold-hearted jerk. I probably am but I don't care.

The Coca Cola event was pretty cool. I ran this machine that shows the recycling process so people can see first hand how they can take a bottle, recycle it, and turn it into a shirt. I never knew how they did that so I thought it was pretty cool. They basically take the bottle and shred it to tiny pieces. Then they take the pieces and wash them really good. If it's food grade they turn it into another bottle, if it's not food grade they melt the plastic pieces and turn them into yarn. The yarn is then mixed with cotton to make a shirt that is a cotton/PET (recycled plastic) blend. The shirt I wore at the event was made out of 5 recycled bottles. I thought it would feel weird but it feels completely normal. So do your recycling

I did make a short appearance after work at the barbecue. I didn't talk to him and I didn't congratulate my mom. I'm not sure I'm ever going to be ok with this. When did this become my life?

Last night was a late night for us so we were dragging our feet this morning. The rest of the models got to sleep in because the lounge didn’t open until 11 but we had to go to another industry party/brunch thing. It was free mimosas and horderves but we had to work so we asked for plain orange juice. The drinks she gave us were non-alcoholic but they were definitely NOT orange juice! I think she just gave us the drink mix without the alcohol in it. It was disgusting! We had to get just water. We nibbled on their crab cakes, Monte Carlo pancake things, and scones for breakfast and then had to leave for the lounge. I didn’t eat in the morning and skipped most of the food at brunch so I was pretty hungry. We were short on models (what’s new?) so lunch breaks were really tricky. I had everyone going one at a time and then I was going to go after everyone else had their turn since I’m the team lead and I don’t like to take my breaks before my team gets theirs.

First thing when I got there the people at Guard a Heart said I should go get tested. They check your blood for heart disease, diabetes, and a bunch of other things. It’s normally $1,500 but they said they would do mine for free. I am terrified of needles so I was going to pass but my sisters were doing it too and talked me into it. Normally I’m not allowed to donate any blood because I am anemic and don’t weigh enough but they had me do it anyway. I probably shouldn’t have. Between being super sunburned/dehydrated from the day before and not eating I was feeling so dizzy when they took my blood. The lady did a really clean job though. I hardly even bruised. Ek, just thinking about it makes me squirm uncomfortably. I should get my results in a few days. I’m just glad it’s over. After that they had me walk some people through the lounge. Normally I only walk specific celebs but we were so short on models I was walking people too. It was pretty hectic and I was getting yelled at a ton (not by the celebs) because people were stressed. I walked Carly from TV guide and then had Genai and Omar who are Olympic polo players. They were really cool guys. I got to have lunch with them later in the week. Then I had the guy from Apollo 13. Luke Kleintank from bones came in with a friend and we got to hang out for a little while. Wow he’s hot! Ron Gilbert from The Usual Suspects came and hung out with me for a little while. Wes Ramsey gave Jenna his number. Just about every girl in the lounge got hit on by one of the guys from the Scorpions (band) :-/ Erin Murphy (bewitched) came in with her dog. It was the cutest little puppy ever. I got to hold him while she had her blood drawn and he just cuddled up on my neck <3 Zach Callison from icarly came back with his friends and they performed for everyone. GG from Shahs of Sunset came in and I spent a lot of time walking her through the lounge. Everyone kept pulling her in all these directions and they wanted a million pictures and things. She was really nice though. After I finally finished with her I was going to go eat lunch but then Duncan walked into the lounge. He had his friends Andrew, Nick?, and Gavin with him. No one else really cared because they don’t know what OA is but I thought it was pretty cool that Gavin was there. I’m glad Duncan brought him. Steve O showed up about the same time so a lot of the cameras were following him. I had fun walking the guys but I don’t think there is any doubt that Dunc is the alpha male. He’s not much of a follower. I.e. he sucks at following me lol He also put me on the spot pretty bad so I had one of those dumb moments as always. His group was the last one I walked for the day and then we rushed through clean up and goodbyes because I wanted to go find food. The sponsors spoiled me way more than they should have! I got bikinis, and oxy water, bloody mary mix from T’s hot sauce (that stuff will melt your face off, no joke!), dirtee Hollywood t-shirts, and headphones from Marley. I LOVE my headphones!!!!! I was with Summer and we had some trouble finding food and then we lost the second half of our group but we finally ended up going to a seafood place called the fish company or something like that. The swordfish there is really good. After that we went back to the hotel to go to bed but I ended up going out again.

I was so happy when I got to the lounge and saw that we had surf and bikini sponsors there. The bikinis from Odina surf are soo cute and they are eco friendly. We had a really weird set up for the lounge this time so we had to move chairs around a million times until we got it right. I feel bad because I made Brooke do a lot of the sucky work since she wore a sun dress and everyone else wore cocktail dresses. She got soaked hosing down the chairs and then covered in dog hair walking Cruiser around. She was a good sport about it though. I owe her. It was a pretty busy day. I met Jon Salley and did some pictures with him. He is so tall! I am to his shoulder though (in heels lol). Vince Martella came in with Thomas and their friend Mikey, they do the voices of Phineas and Ferb. The PR girls kept calling them phineas and herb which started me and Jenna giggling every time. I had Jenna walk with them and they goofed around almost the whole time. I had lunch with Willie Gault (he’s an Olympic athlete/football player). He is such a nice guy. I met him out back by the pool because he was lost and I didn’t know who he was. I was like, who are you? I know, rude right? I didn’t mean for it to come out as mean as it sounded. Then when he said his name I asked if he was one of the models since there is a model named Willie too. Ugh, add that to the list of embarrassing things done in front of celebs. Deb (Barbara Allen Woods) from One Tree Hill was there with her kids. They are a cute family. Jenna walked with Lady Victoria. She was kind of grumpy but she had just flown in from London so maybe that’s why? Issabella Barrett from toddlers in tiaras came. Her mom had her do pageant walks and popses for all her pictures. She was like a perfect little robot. It’s so weird seeing a kid that little do all those things. Austin Anderson from Victorious, Bernie Guzman from real housewives, Brandon Molale from True Blood, Brandon Tyler Russell Smitty, Brenden Eggertson Just go with it, Brian Dietzen from NCIS (went to dinner with him), Candace Bailey (gorgeous in real life), Corey Feldman, Fivel Stewart white frog/lead singer of 5l, Grand Master J, and a bunch of other people came too.

One of the performers started cussing so loud that it was blaring on the speakers and echoing off the houses in the neighborhood. As soon as his performance started we all just stopped and stared at him wondering if it was some sort of bad joke. He got pulled off stage and chewed out. I don’t know his name but I don’t even care. What an idiot.

After the lounge we went to dinner at the pizza kitchen with some people we had met in the lounge earlier that day. Lots of business got done over dinner. You know how I love to multi-task Then we had to go to pick up the stupid alcohol for a present I was doing. I went to the store and the door didn’t open but the lights were all on. Since it was a side door I walked around to the front but realized there wasn’t a front door so I walked back. There was a man and a lady walking into the open door and Brooke was in the car frantically pointing to the door so I walked in. The lady from the store ran up and started yelling at us because the door had been closed and locked. The crazy man had literally wiggled his fingers into the crack of the door and pried it open. Brooke said they watched him do it and his arms were shaking while he tore the door open. I was an accomplice to breaking and entering all because she told me to go in. I guess she was really trying to say “OMG check out what that psycho just did” but I took at as hurry up and go in lol ugh, embarrassing. I apologized to the girl and left.

When we get really tired my sisters and I laugh like drunk people. We can’t stop giggling. So when we got back we were trying to go to sleep but we couldn’t stop laughing at everything. Matt was getting annoyed so he just went to sleep. Right as we had finally quieted down someone tried to come into our room but the chain was up so the door got stuck. We all freaked out and I ended up elbowing Matt to death to get him to wake up. It was all for nothing. It was just a drunk person that walked into the wrong room. It scared us to death though.

It feels like I just left LA from the Oscars and it’s already time to go back for the MTV Awards. Of all the lounges I think this one might be my favorite. Everything is so laid back and summery. I always have really bad luck right before and in LA. I have no idea why it happens, but it happens every time I go there. I had to get my hair cut for the lounge and I was dreading it! Jared normally did my hair and it was perfect, but he got super famous and now he moved away and does celebrity hair. That’s great for him but sucks for me. After he left I waited a year to cut my hair. I finally had to cut it because of the locks of love charity we do every year. I didn’t want to do it but it is for a good cause so I just went for it. OMG it was awful!!!  The girl cut it really short and it was crooked and uneven. I haven’t cut it since.

I went into the salon with this big pit in my stomach and the girl cut my hair off and it was worse than I could have imagined. I wanted her to slither cut down the front, side swept bangs, and layers. She didn’t do any layers at all and left the front straight and cut my bangs in a way that she should be fired for. I wanted it to start at my cheekbone and layer down to my jaw line in long side sweep bangs.  She grabbed a giant chunk of hair at the front and cut it at my cheekbone level in a blunt, straight across, cut. Then grabbed another big chunk and chopped it off at my jaw line and added some random step cuts in my hair right in the front. I told her I hated it so she said she would fix it but she just kept cutting off more and more hair and making it worse. Finally I just told her to stop and went home. I walked in the door and my brother was there and said my hair looked butchered so I started crying, went in the bathroom and took the scissors to my own hair. I blended it out a little bit but some pieces were too short to save and I couldn’t do the back. My friend Whitney thankfully had time to get me in so she did the back and we fixed it the best we could. It still looks horrible but whatever, I can’t change it so I might as well just suck it up

Then on the way to the airport my phone just decides to die forever. I had to make an emergency stop at the store and reactivate an old phone that I had. We got to LA without any problems and stole someone’s rental car on accident. I’m not sorry because it turned out to be a great car  Our hotel was supposed to have a pool but it had no water in it so we tried to skateboard in there instead. I found a stray cat and fed it. The poor thing was starving! The door that leads into the hotel gets left open so the cat ran inside later that night looking for me/more food. Oops

After that we had to get ready for this industry party over at a hotel called Sofitel. It’s so gorgeous in there. I loved it. Everyone that works there has French accents. I took some video in there but it doesn’t even come close to doing it justice. I’ll post it on youtube for anyone that wants to see it.

It was a pretty good day. Other than going to get the food this morning and then forgetting it today was great. My new friend David and I kicked butt at bean bag toss. Brooke won a round and did a victory lap around the parking lot making a big scene and then lost three times in a row directly after that  I got sunburned which isn't so cool, but Crossaction took care of my computer problem and saved 10 years worth of files that I needed. I ♥ them so much! Kids were throwing knives at the event next door and my legs almost got chopped off. Don't let your kids go to that store! After the event I got to hang out with Jenna for a little while. We decided we are going to learn some really cool hula hooping tricks and we aren't going to tell Alexa or Brooke. Then one day we'll bust out our moves like naturals and they'll be stunned by our skills. We spent an hour getting smacked in the face (me) and getting choked (Jenna) trying to learn new tricks. Then the baby just walks out and starts doing tricks that look a lot better than ours. We got shown up by a 3 year old! We are not going to give up though. Giving up means admitting that we have become old farts that cannot learn new tricks. The neighbors sat on their back porch laughing the entire time so at the very least we are entertaining to someone. I found a new spot on the river side with a rope swing so I'm definitely going back soon with the girls to try it out. It's getting warm enough that all the fun stuff is finally happening. The Untamed models are going to the zoo, and hiking, and Perla is teaching us all Zumba on Wed. We have photo shoots this week and I'm doing a lemonade promo so I get to have a lemonade stand  Superbike Championship is this week and I am STOKED!!! I love motor bikes. Especially fast ones. Then we leave for LA to do the MTV Awards. Come home for a bit then maybe off to Dallas, then Lake Powell, and then....... WAKEBOARDING EVENTS START  There is one every weekend the entire month of July. ooooh I'm such a lucky girl!

Downside is, I have to go to court for that stupid ticket and the judge there remembers me and hates me. I'm screwed
