When I applied to be a flight attendant I was really nervous because I didn’t have any experience at all and I don’t know anyone that is a flight attendant so everything seemed so new to me. When I got to the hotel for my interview there were hundreds of girls and all of them were so pretty and professional looking. I was immediately intimidated and almost turned around and went back home. I think the only reason I didnt was because I had borrowed my little sisters flats and could barely walk. There is a height requirement and I only own heels so I was trying to be as short as possible by wearing her flats even though they were 2 sizes too small. They put us all into a room and did a long orientation where they made us get up and speak in front of everyone. I get up and dance in front of thousands of people at the raves, in my underwear no less, and I love it. But the second I got in front of all those people I froze. I speak all the time so I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Looking back I think I was just nervous because I wanted it so badly. Anyway after that part they sent us out of the room to make the second cuts of the day (first round was the height check). I needed some time alone so I went into the sauna room at the hotel and call my mom. I was so nervous that I wouldn’t get called back into the room that I was crying. She gave me a little pep talk and it ended up that she was right. I got called back for the third part of the interview. That was the one on one part. I made it past that. Then I found out we had training and I had a bunch of new stuff to memorize. Airline codes that made no sense, vocabulary words I had never heard, and a whole speech that I had to memorize. I was terrified all over again!

On my first day of training I did my speech and passed my test so I was feeling pretty proud of myself. Then came the dreaded physical test. I am a small girl and I have never had very much muscle so I was really nervous walking in to the test. We had to lift this really heavy bag up above our heads consecutively and then lift a giant metal box full of sodas over and over and then run up and down a bunch of stairs. The bag had no handles just little divets and my long fingers didn’t fit in there so every time I lifted it up the bag ended up falling back down on top of me. To top it all off I was wearing a pencil skirt so I couldn’t even use my legs to help me at all. I ended up failing the first time around. I had to walk past everyone in my class and barely made it out to my car before I burst in to tears. I called my sister and she helped me calm down. After that I dug through my trunk and found a pair of dance pants. I went back in and asked my instructor if I could wear those for just long enough to take the physical test again. I think the main reason she said yes is that my eyes were still glassy. I hate crying in front of people so that was extremely embarrassing for me. I ended up passing though. Training to be a flight attendant is a month long and there are only 2 days off total. You cant miss a day, you cant be late, and you cant fail anything. I had a lot of ups and downs and a lot of struggles that I overcame. All in all I would say it was one of the hardest things I have had to do in a long time but also something that was really worth it. I learned a lot about myself and what I can accomplish and I know even though I need some time to have a life of my own right now its something that I am sure I will go back to.

 Today started off a little rocky. I was running late to my try out clinic for the local hockey cheer team and I noticed Sky (short for Skylar aka my car) was running a little weird. We had work to do though so we just kept going. The clinic was fine. Typical clinic but on a much smaller scale. Hopefully it stays this way. I will be pro cheer by the end of next week at this rate! The best part is that hockey has a more laid back schedule than basketball so I would be able to cram it into my crazy life. The coach asked me to do my high kicks and was impressed that I can kick over her head. I'm just glad I have super long legs! I was so relieved when I went over her head and didnt kick her right in the face. I had so much to do today but the rain was really slowing me down. On my way to Nick's to study my car totally broke down and I had to wait for Nick and Alexa to come jump my car. While I was sitting there this guy walks up to my car after seeing it die and sit there for about 15 min. He was like"Can I get a ride?" uhhhh...?! Is this a trick question? I told him my car had died and I was waiting for someone to come help. He asked if I was headed North (my car is totally pointing South and I told him so) and then asks if he can get a ride North. I'm not going to lie I like to help people but this guy was getting on my nerves a little. I was obviously not in much of a position to offer help ANNNNDD even when my car was running I didnt want to risk it driving all over creation in the WRONG direction and skipping even more time that I was supposed to be studying. Buuuut you know me. All I could think of was karma and how I would wish someone would help me if I asked (although I wouldnt be so dumb about who I asked) so we shuffled around and finally got it all figured out. He got a 20 min. ride home, some hot guys pulled over to help us but we still couldnt get it started,  and I finally had to leave Sky there for the night and go to Nick's with Lex and Jenna. I spent the rest the night having a mini candelight bbq in the back yard and studying with Nick. Lex is so nice sharing her boyfriend for the night. Having somebody to study with makes me feel better about passing my test

In other news I taught my niece how to make monkey faces. She is so adorable <3

Growing a chia pet seems pretty simple right? I thought this would be a breeze to cross off. I added it because I always see the commercials and I had never actually tried to grow one. I suck at growing things but I thought I had this one in the bag. I named my chia pet charlie. I realize it's garfield but I don't care. Right out of the gate I had trouble. I started it off wrong because I didn't read the directions all the way through and then do it. I just did the steps as I read them. I hate that! If it's an important step why don't people mention it in the directions AS you're about to do that step instead of waiting clear til the end and THEN saying something. If it's important it shouldn't get skipped over until the end. It's like they want you to fail. That's one of my pet peeves. So anyway I did it wrong and seeds got everywhere. They were sticking to the bathroom counter, the sink, me....anything but the chia planter they were supposed to stick to. I'm sure they are growing in my sink drain now  

The only thing growing on this chia pet is mold *womp womp* maybe I'll try this again and read the directions all the way through next time

Me and Lex were shooting at One World Media when Brian suggested we shoot the album cover for this band called The Beginning At Last. I had met one of the band members at Brian's birthday party and he was a really cool guy so we said we would do it. To support the band we went out to one of their concerts at 5 Monkeys. I thought Asiah and Ber only liked hip hop but they were having a great time moshing. I was so scared because they are tiny but they just jump right in there. Ber had a creepy guy following her around all night and at the very end he bought her a huge drink but then he spilled it on her. I felt so bad for him. He tried to clean it up but she was like "Oh hell no". She walked off and wouldnt talk to him after that. I was a little worried she was going to get in a fight with this giant guy cuz while she was cleaning herself off the guy is like "hey girl, when your done with that come clean off my table". She looked like she was going to punch him. She threw the rag in his face and told him to do it himself. We got her out of there quick. I've never been a huge fan of 5 monkeys cuz the crowd there is always really trashy but I had fun watching Andrew and his band perform. Here are pictures from earlier in the night

I'm keeping it low key this year. I'm doing the fan party at the club later this week and friend parties all throughout the week so on my actual birthday I wanted to keep it small. The day started off right with breakfast in bed. My brother made it for me and hedidnt even do anything gross to the food (Mom kept an eye on him). He picked some daisies for me too. He can be really sweet sometimes. After that Brooke and Jenna took me to a carnival. It was so much fun riding rides and playing the carnival games. Jenna spent $40 trying to win a stuffed bear. Next time I need to remember to limit that girl! lol Brooke won a fish that we named earl. We ran into Chardz while we were there so we hung out with him for a while. Then Alexa got off work so we met up with her and Nick in the McDonalds parking lot for some food and a mini dance party.

 Since I decided to start posting pictures that arent edited a lot of you have noticed and started asking about my scars. I get tons of messages everyday asking me where I got each of these little scars. Soooo I decided to make a scar chart. Obviously this isnt all of them but I added the ones that are most exciting and that most people are asking about. Oh and thank you all for your concerns. I am careful but I'm just clumsy by nature so I'm always covered in scars and bruises but I have a lot of fun getting them

Mom crushed me with a bed- I was helping my mother move her stuff (with the muscles I dont have) and she continuously tried to kill me. She started by squashing my hand in a china hutch, follwed that by hitting me with a bunch of falling books and then finished off by running my foot over twice and leaving ugly tire tracks on my white shoes. Lucklily for her I am such a good daughter that I took it in stride and kept right on working. Well I guess she was determined to test my willingness to help because when I still had a smile on my face after all that she decided to drop a bed on my head. lol We had to go to the hospital and get three tiny little stitches. I'm in there so much that I'm pretty sure the doctors think she beats me

Table cut me- Me, Jenna, Alexa, and Brooke used to love to play this game called Tiboo Taboo when we were little. 2 of us would pretend to be cheetahs and the rest were antelope (we were dorks that watched too much nature channel). We would turn out all the lights in the house and the 2 cheetahs would go hide. The antelope had to come out and wander around and not get killed by the cheetahs (We have a really funny story about the time we decided to mix it up and add aboriginees to the game by streaking our faces with glow in the dark nail polish) they didnt really have much of a goal other than walk out, try to spot a "cheetah", yell Tiboo Taboo and run back to base before they got killed i.e. tackled lol One night while we were playing Alexa was a cheetah and she was hiding on top of the refrigerator. She was going for an aeriel attack but missed so I took off running in the dark, tripped over a rug and cut my chin open smacking into the table. 7 stitches.

Unidentified- This happened in one of three situations but I'm not sure which one. A: My pet duck scratched me or B: My sisters crawled underneath of Buster our toy horse. Like this one, only bigger. Then kicked it around like a bucking bronco to throw me off. They succeeded...that time.

or C: I got it when the cat was on fire and I was trying to put it out

Cheerleading meets fence- Oh boy, this story is an embarassing one! Its really told much better in person but basically it involved me and Jenna trying to go to church of all places, and we decided to climb a fence as a short cut. We threw our heels over before we realized A. our feet where too big to fit in the chain link to get up and B. The grass around us was full of stickers. We decided I would do a cheer move and toss her over the fence but of course she did it all wrong and knocked me off balance so I dropped her right onto the top of the unfinished fence and she got cut up and bloody. We walked to the corner of the fence and tried again which is where I got my skirt caught on the fence and slipped so I was flashing half the neighborhood. I did manage to get myself down but I cut my arm in the process. Both of us have scars from that day but no stitches that time

Stabbed with a meat poker- I dont know what the thing technically is or what its called but my mom stabs meat with it to see if its done so I call it a meat poker. Anyway I was little and wanted up on the counter so I put my hands up there and jumped to pull myself up but my hand was on the poker and it slipped. It jammed the poker part way into my side. It bled alot but it didnt go in very deep so the only damage I have is a little round scar.

Duct tape incident- Again another one of my stupid stories. I felt I had bad posture and a girl in school said she used duct tape to improve her posture by taping up her whole torso. She failed to mention she put the sticky side facing out. Of course I stuck the tape directly on my skin. What can I say I should have been born a blonde. So everything was going great....until that night. It was our school dance and I was nervous that if a boy danced with me he would feel the duct tape and think I was a total weirdo (lets face it, I was lol). So I figured the best solution was to shower and get it wet then it would fall off like a band aid. Uh I'm not sure how much you know about duct tape but I'll tell you this, when it gets wet it does not fall off. The sticky stuff turns into a really strong glue. So I get out of the shower, try to pull it off and realize it is totally stuck and now smells like damp glue. I pulled off a few strips but it hurt so bad I stopped. My lovely friend Lapriel thought she would be helpful by cutting it off with scissors. Where there were air pockets everything went fine but she would hit spots that were stuck to me and just cut my skin off! It hurt soooo bad! Now I have a bunch of tiny scissor cut scars all over my stomach area. I hate duct tape!

                           For the record I bet that hurt a ton when he had to take it off!!!! 

Lion bit me in Cabo- Well this one is pretty self explanitory. I was in Cabo, they had a booth where you could get your picture taken with a 3 month old lion. (you can see the photo as number one on my list). That was one of my list items so I did it and the cute little bugger bit me. Its ok though she bit soft.... well as soft as a lion can. Man once you have been bit by a lion you understand how powerful they really are! She was just playing and barely nipped me but I'd say its equivelent to the time I got bit by a horse. Her jaw was so strong she could have easily broken every bone in my entire hand if she wanted to. Her claws were huge too and even clipped they were pretty sharp. On tv they look so small but holding her on my lap was like holding a young mid-sized lab. If you ever get the chance I totally recommend getting a picture with a big cat like that...just watch your fingers.

Emo at work- So for all of you that dont know I currently work as a manager and model for a promotional team and I LOVE my job! People always joke that I should try getting a regular 9-5 so I can see what the rest of the world has to deal with. I'm a hard worker and I dont mind getting my hands dirty so I decided to take them up on that. I got a demo job at a local grocery store. Within the first 5 minutes of being there they had me cutting dinner rolls and I knicked my finger. It was a small cut but it was deep. I didnt want to be a baby so I just switched gloves and hoped that maybe no one would notice. Of course the gloves were white and within a few seconds it was filled with blood. I couldnt hide it anymore so I quickly covered my hand and asked where the nearest bathroom was. I thought I'd just clean it up and not make a big deal but of course the lady said I had gloves so I didnt have to wash my hands again and I had to admit I was cut. Then she wanted to see it and there was nothing I could do but show her. The blood made it look a lot worse than it was. The rest of the week everyone was scared to let me do anything because they were scared I couldnt handle it :-/ My friends now joke that I cant have a 9-5 for even 5 min. before I go emo and started cutting myself.

Bunk bed diving- Me and my sisters used to think it was very cool to do flips and back handsprings off our bunkbeds. We got very good at it. We tend to be a little competitive with each other so one day Alexa did this realy cool rolling back handspring off the bed and I wanted to top her. I decided to try and do a spinning back hand spring off the bed. Well we had double sets of bunk beds in there and things where a little tight. We often did our stunts at night so my mom wouldnt catch us. I was prepping for my trick and had just started my spin when my mom came bursting in and starting yelling at us to get to bed. Never take her to the olympics, she'd cause a million gymnast injuries because she has no respect for decent stunting. I wasnt expecting it and landed weird causing me to crash into the other set of beds and take a big chunk out of my knee. 2 am 4 stitches.

                           This is not really our bunkbed but ohhhh how I wish it was! 

Bike crash- I rode my bike down a giant hill, took a corner way too fast because I was racing my sister and didnt  want her to win, crashed, slid, got road rash and ripped my new pants. I was pretty pissed about my pants.

Mouse attack- This is a long-ish story (see tripod armless mouse  story). in a nutshell, cat catches live mouse, brings it to my bed and drops it on me, I crash into 3 full length mirrors trying to get away. Glass and blood everywhere 9 stitches at 3 am. The doctor was giving us very skeptical looks.

And there you have it. Most of my scars and the story of how I got them. Now I think its only fair that all of you tell me your best stories about how you got some of your scars.

I decided on July 3 at about 4am that I was going to get a tattoo. The second I woke up July 4th I told Brooke we needed to go price out tattoos. I was just going to look at first. The first shop we went to wasnt technically open and I didnt like it because I knew exactly what I wanted and since the script is simple, its small, and one color I didnt think it would be that difficult. He wanted each word to have its own line, and made it in a ugly font I HATED and wanted to charge me $150 for it. We left there unsatisfied and went to another shop but heard right away from their business neighbors next door that they were unsanitary and terrible. I was a little discouraged but then I saw a sign that said Tattoos and the print store next door (named YES printing) had a big sign that said yes and pointed directly to the shop. I jokingly said it was a sign that we should go there but after stepping inside and meeting the artist I decided it really was the place. His name was Johnny and right off the bat he understood what I wanted. He even knew exactly what my tattoo meant. He has a disease that causes his heart to fail. He has already been dead twice. He gave us lots of advice on life and showed us his scars from open heart surgery while he drew up my tattoo. Just like us he wants to go to Australia someday but he wants to go see a giant rock that the Aboriginees call the heart of the world. Me and Brooke want to visit the underwater hotel Posiedon. I told him I would like to get my books published and that I have one in production. He opened a drawer and pulled out a childrens book he had written and published called Three Conditions. After being there a minute Brooke decided she wanted one too so now we have matching tattoos.

Oh and for the record, my tattoo didn't hurt. I heard all these horror stories about how bad neck tattoos hurt, and how it was going to bleed a lot. One person said the gun feels like a jack hammer on your spine. It wasn't like any of that at all. Not for me anyway. It felt like a bee sting or someone rubbing an eraser hard over my neck. That was it. Maybe because it's small and didn't involve a lot of shading it didn't have time to hurt?
