  • My birthday, Jenna' cat burgler, my near death experience, and the bear

Me and Brooke went out to the cabin with Andy. I had so much fun out there! We did the whole dirt biking, four wheeling, and gun shooting thing. Andy made us dinner on the grill and it was AMAZING! Some of the highlights of the trip were when Jenna had to wash her shirt in the river with a pinecone.

The cat burgler- Jenna left the window open at the house and a stray cat ripped through the screen and came inside. The neighbors had to call and tell us there was a cat sitting in our front window even though we dont own a cat! After a while they pulled up the screen and called it and it ran right out.

My near death experience- My mom came up to the cabin the second day and she wanted to drive one of the four wheelers really bad. I was the one driving but I thought I would be nice and give her a chance. She got us stuck on a hill and then it died. Then while were rolling backwards she just keeps laughing. bah, I am never letting her drive again!

Jenna's bear- Jenna kept thinking there was a bear so she'd flip her head to the left if a twig snapped or flip it to the right everytime she heard a crack noise. A guy who we'll call pistchio sanchez sneezed and Jenna jumped so high she smacked her knees under the table. That made a loud thumping noise and I guess she thought that was the bear coming to get her because she screamed "THE BEAR" and took off running.

Here are a few cabin pictures

See the screaming bear? I'm pretty sure Andy thinks I am a stoner now since I stared at the wall so long

  • Today in a nut shell...

    z216431324

I love Xanga because even though I know you guys read this I feel like this is the closest thing I have to being able to say what I am really thinking and feeling and not having a million people jump in. When I'm having days where I feel like I am swarmed by people and yet have no one to talk to I hide out in the quiet comfort here and just write it out. I tried blogging on myspace and tumblr but its just not the same. Even if its not the most popular blog site I think Xanga is the winner for me.

Today is one of the days I needed my blog. I have so many things going through my head I can't get anything done because I can't jusst pick a place and start. It's kind of overwhelming. We have a ton of shoots, events, and filming stuff coming up plus training. Thats nothing new though. I'm used to the usual chaos that is managing a modeling team. The latest drama however, is throwing me for a bit of a loop. Our film footage is basically being held hostage unless we sign our lives over to a sketchy manager. I'm way protective of my girls so I'm not thrilled about it at all. Quite honestly I'm not afraid to walk if thats what it takes but I dont really have a back up plan if I do that. Wing it I guess? I'm good at that.

Two of my friends died I found out about one yesterday and one today. I'm trying not to look at it like numbers scratched onto a wall but it's starting to feel that way. I love them and miss them but each time one dies the obituary gets added to my journal, which quite frankly, I feel like is too full of my friends obituaries! Not a single one of then was over 25. Its sad. It happens so often now that I dont even mention it to my friends or family when they see me in my funeral clothes they know. IDK, I dont really need to say much about it. I just had to say something because it felt like I was keeping it bottled in.

I have also been thinking about getting old since my birthday is coming up. Maybe its time to quit, but I have been a model so long I dont know how to be anything else. I dont know if I could quit even if I tried?

  • "Channel Selena Gomez"

Brooke's shoot was today. It was still hot and I'm still gross and peely so no photos for me. Brooke was having a hard time focusing today so me and Stan (the photog) were yelling out suggestions for her. "Pretend your Katy Perry", "stop standing like that", Put your foot down", "make me a sandwich".... lol she was getting so irritated with us! She likes to do sexy/serious type stuff so when we told her to think like Selena Gomez she was so irritated. She can't say anything about it though so she just started acting really cheesy and I could tell she was completly sarcastic but Stan loved it. She was in some grass twirling in a white dress in slow motion. She looked  like she was auditioning for a tampon commercial. I couldnt stop launghing so I got sent to time out on the bridge :P

  • The flip flop was never seen again...

There are photo shoots going on left and right for Untamed. I'm still burned like no other from the wakeboard shoot so I can't do anymore until my skin heals up. I went with Asiah and J on their shoot today to help out. I havent been to a shoot where I wasnt posing in such a long time. It was a little weird but kind of nice to just relax and help them out. I have Brooke's shoot tommorrow. It was really hot outside so I had to carry around an umbrella :-/ umbrella's are not cool at all. I couldnt afford to get any more burned though. The shoot went pretty well but we got attacked by birds at the preserve because we were close to the nest and Asiah lost her flip flop at the waterfall. It sucked it right under the ground just like quicksand.

  • Training in the rain :-/

The Untamed girls have all been doing a bunch of training and body conditioning so we can do everything we need to for filming. I thought for sure I was going to be able to skip since we had the Wakeology shoot yesterday and I was SOO fried! It hurt so bad I couldnt even move and my burns were purple and swollen. Plus it was practically a tornado outside with all the wind and rain. No luck though. Untamed= can't be a baby so we had to tough it out in the storm. I got some video while we were stretching before our run and playground work out. It's hard to tell in the video but it is crappy weather. Then we had posing and falls training. Ugh I never want to do falls down cement stairs with a sunburn ever again! I do it because I dont want to disappoint you guys. I want to make you proud :) Here is video proof that your Untamed girls will tough it out to get stuff done

  • Wakeboard photo shoot

I had to get up bright and early to be on location with Alexa for the Wakeology shoot. I was thinking it would be an easy day since I didnt have to shoot. I was just going to do some hair and make up then kick back and relax. Thats not how it worked out though. Lex pretty much got the Andi James spa treatment that morning. Hair, make up, I did all of her wardrobe, and I even did her nails for her. When we got on location there were dead birds all over the place and the sand was like wet cement! I dont know what happened but it was pretty nasty. When we got out by the water the sand changed from gray to black and I wondered why...thats when I noticed it was moving! There were so many gnats the ground looked covered but when we would step they would all swarm and fly a few feet away. The water is so nasty!! I see why only tourists go to the Great Salt Lake. Let me give you a hint, if you are ever visiting Salt Lake just skip the nasty lake and drive a little while away to the salt flats. They are way better. Anyway, so it stunk like salt and dead brine shrimp and there were bugs covering all of our stuff but we managed to get the shots we needed. Alexa accidentally flashed some guys that were spying on us from their sailboat and one guy nearly fell in the lake trying to get a peek. I forgot the sunblock so all of us are burnt beyond recognition and can barely move. We spent the whole day with wakeboards though so in my book it evens everything out.

  • Last min. Shoot with Jon

Jon is one of my favorite photographers so when he told me he had a new location he wanted to test out I was ready to go. I threw my stuff in the car and we headed out to Lone rock out in the middle of nowhere. We had some technical, nature related, and other issues but the shoot was still a lot of fun. I love the stormy sky in the pictures. Here are a few sneak ones but thats all I can show you til the edits come out!

  • Canada Day is finally here!!!

I think Canada Day is becoming my favorite holiday. We invited our friend Andy over. He's kinda Canadian. We dont really do many things that he usually does on Canada day but I think he had fun anyway. We skipped sleeping in the tent this year but we made some fake Canadian beer and had some fireworks. I got to shoot my sling shot so I was pretty happy about that. I almost hit one of the neighbors though...

Me and Brooke bought some hola-specs which are the coolest things ever! They make you look like a nerd stoner but it's totally worth it. We tried putting them over the camera lens for the fireworks to see if we could show you guys through our point of view.

  • Salt Flats photo shoot

Wow! I was SOO tired, but I couldnt wait to do this shoot. I ended up staying up til 4 am the night before trying to get everything ready for the day. I had been prepping for 2 weeks but there is always last minute stuff that comes up. It was ridiculous. Me and Brooke were out picking weeds at midnight to try and get more things to burn in the fire at our shoot. We had to leave at 6am so it felt like I just went to sleep and then it was time to get up again. We all got to the meeting spot and figured since so many people were car pooling we had to cram 6 people into a 5 person elantra. We were hoping that when we met up with the southern crew members we could spread out, but thats when we found out most had already left, one spent the night in the desert, and the only one left had brought a smart car. WOMP WOMP So we did the 3 hour drive with 4 people crammed in the back seat.

When we fianlly got out to the set the salt was wet and mushy so it was sticking to everything! My flip flops were quickly turned into salty platform shoes. We made it work though. One of the photographers kept getting dangerously close to fainting but that was the only problem we had. We only managed to get one set done before we had to head into Wendover to escape the sun. We were running late for our ustream broadcast so we had to make a mad dash for McDonalds :P The internet there is pretty slow but we got our broadcast done. Then we went and had lunch at Montego Bay casino. After lunch everyone split up. Some went to look for a pool, some went gambling, and some went to check out the casino. I found a slightly cozy chair in the sport bar and took a nap :)

We headed back out to the desert about 6pm and moved to a new spot up in the hills. There was a really cool rock we were shooting on while we waited for the boys to set up everything for our fire shots. It was getting dark quick and we had individuals, team photos, and video to shoot before we could do the fire so I was rushing everyone. I was just starting to think we were going to make in time when giant storm clouds started rolling over the hill. The team was standing on a giant rock and a breeze came through making everyone's hair flip around a little but it wasnt bad. Within minutes we were nearly blown off the rocks so we had to run down and pack everything up. I was bummed because we didnt get to do the fire like I wanted but I knew I had to call it. So now we are scheduling a re-shoot in the mountains instead of the Salt Flats. Here are some of the behind the scenes and previews from the Salt Flats shoot
