Cabo: Day 3 CABO SAN LUCAS LION
I am feeling much better today. I’m sure it was thanks to our hot chocolate toast last night
We got to Cabo early this morning while we were in the gym. When we finally got out onto the beach Jenna spent $50 in the first 5 minutes because she cant say no. We tried on giant hats and walked through the shops looking at all the stuff they had. It was fun but nothing really caught my eye….until I saw Hooters.
I’m sorry but I love that place. I want to work where I can wear shorts and tank tops. Brooke had to check in for her swim with dolphins so we had to stop by there first. After she got signed in she had to wait for her group before she could go out to the tank so we were waiting with her. We were underground and they had windows so you could see into the dolphin tank. We walked up to it but couldn’t see anything. Suddenly a dolphin popped up in front of the glass from below the window and Brooke started screaming lol If that’s how she reacts to them maybe she shouldn’t be getting in the tank with one! After we made sure she was all set me and Jenna left to explore some more. First stop Hooters. I bought some shorts that are way cute. Cant wait to show them to you all! The d.j. from the Jekyll and Hyde club on our ship was there and was trying to hit on me but I didn’t realize he was talking to me. Later that night when I was doing go-go for the club he was teasing me for ignoring him. On the way back to Brooke I saw a stand where you could get your picture taken with a lion cub. I used to play with them when I was little but I don’t have any pictures so I was ecstatic! Its on the list to get a picture with a live lion so of course I made Jenna do it. A lot of people were standing around but I was surprised at how many were just there to look. No one wanted to hold the cub. They were acting like we were so brave/insane for holding her. That still confuses me. What are they scared of? I think its awesome and don’t see why more people wouldn’t want to take the opportunity. To each his own I guess? We put the lion in our laps and held her for the picture. She was older than the lion cubs I used to play with and much bigger. It was like holding a 5 month old lab in my lap. Her nails were clipped but still pretty sharp. She sat pretty well at first but the lady was taking forever and the poor baby just wanted to play. ½ way through she bit me. It wasn’t hard at all but I could definitely feel the power in it. Even in a small nip. She could have easily bit me and crushed every bone in my hand, that’s how powerful their jaws are. Babies nip and I know that so I didn’t freak but the people around us were getting shifty and anxious. Lol between the scratches and the teeth marks it looks like I played with her not took pictures with her
After the lion we took pictures with some iguanas. One was wearing a sombrero and had a pretty smug look on his face. I think he was pretty proud of the size of his hat. We got back just in time to watch Brooke swim with the dolphins. It was your typical dolphin swim. I think hearing her point of view is more exciting on that one. They had a parrot that Jenna played with while we were waiting but for some reason birds hate me. They are nice to everyone else and then go all Alfred Hitchcock when I show up so I kept my distance. Once we told everyone about the lion they all wanted pictures too so we went back and did that again. She was tired by the time they got there so she was much easier to hold. By that time we really had to get over to Lover’s beach for our shoot. We took a glass bottom boat over there which happens to be another list item. On the way we took a little tour which was fun. The guys on the boat were really nice. They even carried us from the boat to the island so we wouldn’t have to get wet. Dad wasn’t very pleased but I thought it was sweet of them. While we were shooting I got bit by something and then carried half way out to the ocean in a wave. It was not very sexy but looks pretty funny on camera. Dad found a cool rock and went to show Alexa but it was full of crabs and they all came out. She FREAKED OUT!!!! My brother went swimming with his passport (hope it dries out), and we finished our shoot. I cant post a whole lot because the calendar is a surprise but I’ll post what I can of the behind the scenes when me and Lex were making fake Corona ads
We made one last stop before getting back to the ship because a mariachi band asked Alexa to join them. She figured why not test out her skills. We almost lost her to the Cabo Mariachi band
We barely made it back to the boat on time! It was my brothers turn to get lost at dinner. Afterwards we went to a hypnotist show in the Mikado lounge and then watched Alvin and the chipmunks in our room. I’m a nerd but I love that movie. It makes me laugh pretty hard. We heard a lot of commotion in the hallway and when we went to look we ran into some old ladies on their way to the top deck. Apparently there was a big dance contest going on. Well you know we wouldn’t miss something like that. We ate pizza while 200 dancing grandma’s did the cha-cha in showgirl outfits. One of the grannies mooned us. We had a dance battle with them and my friend Marissa krumped with a granny and one. The grandma held her own though! Krumping with old ladies is a really fun past time. Right after the dance contest me and Lex had to hurry and go change because it was our night to work the Jekyll and Hyde lounge (go-go dancing). We took pictures with the D.J. who incidentally is named Deejay. When we got off work I took her gambling for her first time. We just did the penny slots. Dang the machines are tight here. I’m still rocking around everywhere from the storm that hit a few hours ago. Going to bed. Night lovelies
XOXO Andi
